01 Gitcoin Grants 19 Introduction
1. Gitcoin Grants 19 is the 19th round of the Gitcoin series of donations. Since 2023, Gitcoin has tested a new donation matching method, Grants Stack, through Alpha Round and Beta Round, transferring past centralized donations to a donation method initiated, voted, and managed by the community, helping communities that apply for donations build a good chain. reputation, while allocating funds to projects that are more popular with users.

2. GG19 donations are divided into two parts : Program Rounds and Community Rounds . Selected projects need to meet qualifications such as "not raising large amounts of external funds through venture capital, token issuance or NFT sales." .

3. Program Rounds refer to specific grant rounds that are directly managed and overseen by the Gitcoin Grants Program Team (GPT, formerly PGF). Projects selected for this round need to be in line with Gitcoin's mission and values, emphasizing transparency, decentralization and community participation.
There are three parts this time, with a total matching pool of $600,000:

4. Community Rounds are matching pools set by external partners. The setting of this round provides a more decentralized and community-driven approach, allowing external entities to take the lead in organizing and participating in management.

Gitcoin Grants 19 supports donations on multiple chains: Arbitrum, Optimism, PGN, etc. PGN, the full name of Public Goods Network, is an L2 specially designed for donations.

6. The anti-witch method of Gitcoin Grants 19 still uses Gitcoin Passport . As a verification method, Passport has been adopted by projects such as Linea and Link3. It is recommended that everyone pay attention to it.

02 Gitcoin Grants 19 Donation Suggestions
Based on past rounds of donations, Biteye has summarized the following donation suggestions:
1. Although Gitcoin has no limit on donation amount, the minimum amount of each project is at least greater than 1U. On the other hand, due to the price fluctuation of ETH, you can choose DAI to donate; if you use eth to donate, considering the price fluctuation, it is recommended to donate 0.001eth Above; (Note: Some project parties only use donation as the criterion for airdrops, while some projects will use the donation amount as the weight)
2. Gitcoin donation is a good on-chain interaction behavior. Optimism and Celestia once considered "users making Gitcoin donations on the main network" as one of the weights of airdrops. Donation is also a low-cost method to increase Passport scores;
3. Use MiniBridge to donate funds across the PGN chain, which can minimize network fees and interact with the PGN chain recommended by the official;
4. Donation should not be too late. It is easy to encounter network congestion when donating in the last few days, resulting in missing the donation time;
5. Verify your passport to a score of 15 or above before making a donation. The 15-25 range will receive higher weight as the score increases;
6. It is recommended that multi-account users pay attention to the diversity of donations when donating, and can adopt a 2+1 donation method, that is, 2 target projects plus 1 random project.

Web3 OSS grants are primarily targeted at open source projects that are developing on or advancing the broader Ethereum and Web3 industries. Open source software is mostly based on concepts such as Web3, DeFi, and NFT. Projects in these tracks have also had precedents of airdrops to donors in the past.
1.Mini bridge
Mini Bridge is a "0 fee" cross-chain tool that has the advantages of supporting multiple chains and fast confirmation. It was developed by the Chaineye team for users' small-amount transfer scenarios. Chaineye is the winning project of the 2023 Shanghai Ethereum Conference and has received financial support from Gitcoin, Optimism and Arbitrum.

JediSwap is a DEX built on StarkNet - a Validity Rollup on Ethereum that enables unlimited scalability to web3 while relying on the security of Ethereum. JediSwap is a completely community-driven project, and anyone can start contributing to JediSwap by joining the JediSwap Discord.
5.Revoke.cash
A one-stop deauthorization platform, users can use Revoke to cancel token authorization as soon as possible after receiving an attack report.
6.dm3 protocol
The dm3 protocol is a lightweight information transfer protocol based on Web3 technology, focusing on secure end-to-end encryption, decentralization, scalability and interoperability. The dm3 registry is based on ENS, that is, the dm3 configuration file is added to the ENS name as a text record.
7.OmniBTC
OmniBTC is a decentralized cross-chain exchange and lending platform designed to connect and unify all on-chain liquidity. It supports more than 17 chains and 20+ DEX, allowing users to cross any token on any chain with one click.

8.Glo Dollar
Glo Dollar is a fully backed stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar, backed 1:1 by cash reserves and U.S. Treasury bonds.
