The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) document stated that Ripple should submit a response to the SEC's ruling by April 22, 2024. The SEC has asked a New York judge to impose a fine of $1.95 billion on Ripple Labs. The case began in December 2020, when the SEC filed a lawsuit against Ripple Labs and its executives, accusing them of violating federal securities laws by selling XRP to institutional and retail customers. Last July, New York Judge Analisa Torres ruled that the sale of XRP on exchanges and through algorithms did not violate U.S. law, and only Ripple's institutional sales of XRP violated U.S. law.
The StarkWare Exploration team is working with the decentralized AI project Giza to create a new artificial intelligence project, which will be announced at the Starknet event in Berlin on April 23.
On April 15, several Hong Kong fund companies announced that their Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETF applications were approved. Previously, people familiar with the matter said that according to Hong Kong procedures, after the Securities and Futures Commission approved the first batch of Bitcoin spot ETFs on the 15th, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange would need about two weeks to prepare for product listing and other matters. However, the entire Bitcoin spot ETF project has been communicated in detail with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in advance, and it is expected to be completed in about ten days. The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission plans to open Bitcoin spot ETFs for listing and trading in Hong Kong on April 25, or at the end of April at the latest.

This week’s progress on projects related to the airdrop activity includes:
Synthetix will issue PYTH airdrops to governance users, and eligible users must fill out the form before April 22. The airdrop conditions are users who have engaged in any of the following activities in the past year: speaking in the SNX Discord governance channel; creating or voting on SIP/SCCP; serving the Synthetix DAO entity; participating in the Synthetix election.
Merlin ecosystem DEX MerlinSwap will start the esMP staking party at 14:00 Beijing time on April 22 and end at 14:00 on May 21. Users can stake esMP tokens and participate in the 2% airdrop allocation in the second phase of MerlinSwap.
The second airdrop of QnA3.AI, an AI-driven Web3 knowledge sharing and search platform, will be open until 20:00 on April 24. 5 million tokens will be available for claiming by 200,000 BNB and Solana chain users. Users who have claimed points on BNB Chain before the March 15 snapshot are eligible to claim, and Solana users who are active before March 31 will receive the airdrop.
Cellula has joined hands with BNB Chain to distribute CELL token rewards in an airdrop alliance event. The event will end on April 28. In this event, Cellula will distribute a total of 1.1 million CELL to all eligible users.
The first phase of the points reward plan of io.net, a DePIN protocol based on Solana, will last until April 28, and points inquiry is now open . Officials said that the plan will reward points based on the user's provision of GPUs to the network. The reward algorithm will take into account a series of factors, including the number of hours of work completed, node bandwidth, GPU model, and uptime.

Binance will conduct regular system upgrades from 14:30 on April 23 to 17:30 on April 23 (GMT+8) to improve overall system performance and stability. During the system upgrade, users may encounter system errors when using the Binance website or Binance App.
The Filecoin network upgrade coordinator decided to postpone the nv22 network upgrade to April 24th. The reason for the postponement is to track and evaluate the status of the STFIL Protocol.
Other project developments include:
Eigenpie LST withdrawals, a SubDAO organization under the multi-chain yield protocol Magpie that provides liquidity re-staking services, will be launched on April 22. LST deposit users on the platform will be able to unstake their assets while retaining their accumulated points.
TreasureDAO plans to launch the Treasure Ruby testnet on April 22, which includes the new Treasure Portal for cross-chain access and exploration of the testnet environment, as well as the new Treasure browser. Officials said that a new testnet version will be launched after the Ruby version, and new features will be provided. In addition, a new staking function will be added to the Treasure Chain.
The closed beta of the blockchain game Space Nation Online PC will be held from April 1 to April 22, lasting 21 days. The closed beta will provide game experiences such as exploration, challenges, trading, gold farming and mining, and will also distribute 2.25 million OIK tokens, which will be distributed according to the in-game contribution system.
NFT marketplace Magic Eden will release the Runes trading platform on April 23. In addition, Magic Eden will be launched on the Base network on April 25.

The digital asset management platform Safe’s token SAFE is transferable from April 23. SAFE tokens were originally non-transferable when they were launched in September 2022. SafeDAO governance controls the unpause function in the token contract, which can make SAFE transferable. The original SafeDAO proposal (SEP #23) that made SAFE tokens transferable was not implemented due to 73.63% of the votes against it. The new proposal passed on April 15 made SAFE transferable.

Upcoming Events
Southeast Asia Blockchain Week will be held in Bangkok, Thailand from April 22 to 28, 2024.
The registration for BNB Chain's second quarter "One BNB- Coding the Future" online hackathon ends on April 25, with a prize pool of US$470,000, focusing on tracks such as DeFi, games, artificial intelligence, DePIN, DeSoc and infrastructure.
The AI Crypto Hackathon, hosted by BeWater and co-sponsored by ABCDE, OKX Ventures, SevenX Ventures and BNB Chain, will be officially launched on April 24, and registration will be open on the BeWater platform. The competition has tracks such as AI stack (computing power, models, data, agents) and decentralized applications.
The Cornell Blockchain Club will hold its fourth annual blockchain conference on April 26, 2024 in New York City.

Voting Governance
The voting for the Injective token economic model upgrade proposal INJ 3.0 ended on April 23. The proposal aims to reduce the issuance of new INJ by reducing on-chain parameters. It plans to gradually reduce the INJ inflation rate within two years and increase responsiveness to staking activities.
GnosisDAO intends to invest in HOPR to start the proposal voting for the development of GnosisVPN, which ends on April 23. According to the GIP-98 proposal, the proposal plans to invest in HOPR to promote Gnosis's focus on privacy. HOPR will build Gnosis VPN, a private and decentralized VPN on top of the HOPR mixnet. The proposal includes two phases: first, the establishment of a set of VPN libraries and Gnosis VPN browser extensions, followed by future product expansion and user experience work. GnosisDAO will receive HOPR tokens at a 30% discount as a return on its $1.5 million investment.
