A Vercel product manager says Figma design is now the seventh step in his product design process. He now first throws his ideas to AI to see what it produces, and then adjusts them together with AI. This is because AI can experiment, reset, and start over much faster than he can.
Based on my own experience with various AI products over the past year, I wholeheartedly agree.
Many things are actually stuck at the very beginning because of the "do it" part. And it has to be done quickly, without taking up other time or activities.
For example, some ideas come to mind while showering. Some come to mind on the subway. Some come to mind when you're not at your computer.
Before AI, those flashes of inspiration were truly just that—flashes. At most, they'd be jot down in Apple Notes. The thought of starting always led to various excuses and giving up. This is the norm for most people.
You might think of a thousand paths at night, but in the morning you're stuck in the same old routine. Because everyone's time and energy are limited.
But AI has minimized the cost of "doing it." Thinking is always wonderful, doing is always painful. AI, especially highly autonomous tools like Clawdbot, has painlessly simplified this most painful process, almost like a sentient being.
Next, for an individual to get the gears of destiny turning, the only necessary execution is: 1. Create a dedicated production environment for Clawdbot (or any other more advanced productivity tool in the future); 2. Learn how to install and run it. That's all.
Without external interference from policies, compliance, leverage, or other factors, starting a business might truly be a matter of a few words.
This is the best of times for ordinary people.
