The Synthesis just wrapped. We ran a two-week experiment where developers built AI agents using open-source infrastructure on Ethereum. Agents were involved at every layer, from registration, to building, to judging. Technology is moving fast. AI agents are growing and operating on our behalf across an internet that was never meant for them. Logins, passwords, bank accounts, legal contracts all assume there's a human on the other end. The Ethereum ecosystem has been building the infrastructure agents actually need for over a decade. Yet, most AI builders don't even know it exists. We created the Synthesis to close that gap and see what happens when you put the tools in front of the builders who need them. 685 projects submitted. $100K in prizes. 25+ sponsors across the ecosystem.

Coordination always entails some form of agreement. For human coordination, agreements are often largely implicit, but that won't cut it for ai agents. They need everything to be as explicit as possible. That includes their agreements as a whole, and also every single tiny aspect of their agreements: every term and condition. But, like humans, agents also need flexibility to construct their agreements to fit the idiosyncratic needs of their scenario. A protocol for agent agreements needs to be robust, explicit, and also highly modular. That's what I built for the @synthesis_md hackathon: an agent agreements protocol and a bunch of modular primitives. Here's how they all fit together.
