Judge Corley is about as straight a shooter of a judge as ever sat on the bench. This is what she decided earlier today on the @CFTC's supremacy over regulation of listed contracts: "Plaintiffs have not shown the Court has jurisdiction to decide whether Kalshi’s event contracts violate the Commodity Exchange Act. That decision belongs to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, which has 'exclusive jurisdiction' over its contract markets."

A lot of hard working people in the US courts work to protect its data. I’ve seen that work up close. But this, not gamesmanship, is a big reason why sealing orders give cold comfort to parties with real needs to keep their IP safe in court cases. I hope judges appreciate that.
