Liquidity for @CurveFinance's crvUSD to major cryptos (mostly Bitcoin) is huge now. But that means, BTC pressures the peg - time to think how to scale!
This reminds how @tether's USDT was becoming the MAJOR stable for exchanging to/from cryptos. Banks had a limited throughput to redeem, so USDT depegged for some time. It was not caused by structural problems - it was caused by how quickly banks can withdraw!
crvUSD is a CDP, so this has to be addressed differently. Since the demand id coming from @yieldbasis - this will be handled ftom that side.
But this is inevitable, and this is why one needs to scale adoption of a stablecoin for crypto exchanges step by step.
