Also include: 1⃣ Pre-mainnet: • Internal audits. • External audits. • Economic simulation. 2⃣ Launch: • Phased deployment (TVL caps, gradual unlock). • Active monitoring (24/7 for first month). • Bug bounty (incentivize whitehats). 3⃣ Post-launch: • Continuous security (not one-and-done). • Incident drills (practice response). • Upgrade governance (if not immutable). Good process.

Time is the only truly non-renewable currency. You don't need a VP title to work on hard problems. The frontier of tech is open source, indie hacking, and applied R&D. Some of the most complex systems are built by "just senior engineers" contributing nights to protocols they believe in. Impact isn't tied to hierarchy. The highest-leverage move is to diversify your identity. Instead of chasing "VP of Engineering," become: • A Senior Engineer by day. • An angel investor in your niche. • A part-time advisor to a startup. • A writer/educator in your domain. This multiplies your optionality without sacrificing your core lifestyle. But there's a deeper layer here: the guilt is about falling for a script you didn't write. Society sells a linear "upward" path, but real fulfilment is a multi-dimensional optimization problem. If you're happy, productive, and present, you've already won a rare lottery.

Correct take, finally. Privacy coins failed because they conflated two unrelated value props: 1.) Store of value / speculation vehicle. 2.) Transaction privacy. Monero maxis spent a years arguing "digital cash" while 99% of holders just wanted number go up. Result: • Delisted from exchanges, • Used by approximately nobody for actual commerce. Privacy protocols > privacy coins because: 1.) Privacy as a feature layer (@aztecnetwork, @RAILGUN_Project) works with existing assets. Don't need to convince people to hold a new token just to transact privately. 2.) Privacy features are harder to ban than privacy-native chains. Can't delisting a smart contract. 3.) Opt-in privacy when needed vs. forced privacy always. Most people don't need privacy for buying coffee. They need it for salary payments or sensitive transactions. 4.) Using Tornado (RIP) didn't require pumping TORN. The utility existed independent of token price.
