Turning 26. 🎂 my 2nd year in sf. 3rd year in the US. 20+ friends came to my bday party. feeling peaceful and beloved :) I've written a birthday recap every year since 22, each one from a different city: seoul, singapore, shanghai, philly. this year, I'm writing it in sf - the place i decide to lock in and grow my roots. be bold. be kind. the best is yet to come 🩵

I've been chatting with many AI companies in Silicon Valley lately, and they all seem interested in hiring people with crypto experience for growth/community roles. A key reason is the significant overlap in the paying customer base for AI and crypto, allowing for scalable marketing strategies. Compared to conventional channel/PMF customer acquisition, unconventional approaches can reach users faster, and users are more willing to pay for such narratives. Crypto people excel at: • Emotional management (building a community) • Scarcity narratives (promising future opportunities) • FOMO (FOMO) (manipulating projects) • Translating complex technology into "Why I need to use it now" "Think outside the box"—Web3 people really know how to do things differently 👍

Two years ago, I visited California for the first time, touring the Stanford campus and the Golden Gate Bridge. I secretly wished to live in the Bay Area. I casually picked up a Zetachain bag then, and later, when I was job hunting, I actually got a job at Zetachain and moved to San Francisco. Two years later, I came back to Stanford to take photos, and taking pictures under the same building suddenly made me feel very emotional. I met @0xEvieYang in the Bay Area today. We had coffee and a really heartwarming chat. The last time we met was in Hong Kong, when we were both at VC. We've both grown a lot in the past three years. Seeing how well JE Labs is doing now makes me so happy for her! 🥳💗 Looking forward to seeing everyone at CES next week!
