Caught up with one of my fav gigaverse whales (big nft guy) this morning, who asked me straight up what is the absolute best way to align with our ecosystem / our future: Is it ROMs or GLHFers? It's both, they're just different. One easy way to think about it: ROMs (on Abstract) are useful to people playing the game, GLHFers (on ETH mainnet) are for passive holders or people who want a great PFP. Imho, GLHFers are among the very best pixel PFPs - not just in gaming, but in all of jpegs. Whereas ROMs have existing utility in the game and will receive more in the future. Both are 'ecosystem level' assets. All that said, we obviously care deeply about Gigaverse players (especially spenders, obviously) so if at the opposite end of the spectrum you can’t afford a collection of NFTs then playing the game & staying juiced is a good idea.

When we launched gigaverse, we did not try to fit in with "revenue meta" - we simply aimed to build a good, real, & sustainable business. Although we bootstrapped our launch with just 4 people, we're now one of the highest revenue generating crypto games of the last 12mo. Infact I think we probably rank in the top ~150 crypto-native apps for revenue. Probably in the top ~50 for margin. No sense in chasing vanity metrics. You MUST ruthlessly focus on what counts. Day by day we push the boulder up the hill. I hope it stays hard because that's how I like my games.

Crypto Gaming’s anti-fragility is vastly overlooked. Majority of the teams still operating know that there’s no one coming to save them. Users and revenue growth are the only way out and all teams are laser focused on this with slow emerging success.

Most teams in crypto execute "collabs for the sake of collabs" without thinking very carefully around: - Optics / positioning - 2nd / 3rd order effects - Present & future value flow There are so many partnership offers / ideas you'll be pitched that absolutely aren't worth doing for a 1-time tweet or some minor level of (potential) "additional distribution". It's important for teams to have a basic evaluation framework to output decision; yes / no / go heavy / go light / defer to later. Exception to this: when you're super early with absolutely nothing to lose and can mostly just say yes to things based on vibes. But even then, need to be careful of dropping your pants for one-way door decisions.

It benefits Solana. It does not benefit Starknet. It did not benefit Monad. Teams are cucking themselves for perceived distribution/marketing but give up their most valuable asset (their native token) Solana is capturing the valuable part (priority fees). x.com/AvgJoesCrypto/…
