This "deeply reported" piece from WIRED is inexcusably bad. First, it is just wrong. Not nitpicky things, fundamentally false jabs and premises. I should note that I am not some Johnny Come Lately on this issue. I have been vocally on the record for eight years now. It is a fundamental principle of American military power, hotly debated even at the founding, and MUST remain true for Anduril.

I have confirmed via sources close to Fat Jason that he did visit the island. This clearly contradicts previous claims of having met Epstein only once. Notice how Fat Jason's statement very carefully avoids the topic people are actually talking about, his ongoing relationship with and aid to a convicted child rapist and sex trafficker well into the 2010s. Instead, he is still pretending it was all decades ago, talking about young he was and how he never actually went to Epstein's island. It is only convincing if you aren't paying attention, if you ignore the inconsistency with previous statements, including the ways he attacked people for even suggesting involvement with Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein beyond meeting them in the 90s.

To remind folks: I met Epstein in the late 90s/early 2000s via my book agent at the TED conference. I was in my 20s. There were hundreds of folks at TED and those dinners. I barely knew him, but he was everywhere, relentlessly networking with everyone in science, finance, x.com/jason/status/1…
