Prediction markets seemingly siphoned attention from alts this cycle. Friends outside of crypto never talk about alts now, just Kalshi/Polymarket. What else is either: 1) net new or 2) old but entered primetime (eg. pred. markets, perp dexs) as THE conduits for speculation?

Wrapping my first ninety days at Agora. One thing keeps standing out in discovery. Stablecoins are merging with traditional finance faster than I expected. Stablecoins are disruption, but the reason isn't just speed, programmability, or interoperability.

As Mike comically points out, this has been a notorious integration failure in fintech for a long time… Stablecoins and open-source financial standards are going to crush the Frankenstein-monster-backends of TradFi + Payments.
