Seeing many of these takes, that crypto is purely a shared financial ledger and contract layer that has no value beyond it Reminds me of internet deniers in the mid-1990s; you're telling me global shared state is only useful in finance??? I take the opposite side of that. With all due respect to Chris, I completely disagree with this take. Chris argues that "web3," particularly crypto-powered gaming and media, failed due to scams and regulation, and that better regulation will unlock these non-financial cases.
