It's already known that Cheddar Man wasn't the ancestor of historical Britons or English. By far the predominant ancestors Europeans, including the historical British, were about a 50/50 mix of Anatolian farmers and Eurasian steppe horse nomads, who in turn were descended from hunter-gatherers in those areas. That is where your (and our, in the overseas European diaspora) hunter-gatherer era ancestors lie, not in Britain or Western Europe. The Anatolian farmer migration, once mixed with the later horse nomad migration, then lived rather stably in Europe and Britain for over 4,000 years.
