I still remember several key questions raised during the @monad Doubters' Dialogue
Big shout-out to @0x_eunice, @_jhunsaker @hosseeb from Dragonfly , and all engaged audience for an honest and meaningful discussion. It’s clear there’s a lot of expectation around Monad; and we’ll keep working hard.
1. Why is mainnet so late?
MF: The problems we’re solving are hard. If it were easy, everyone would have done it already
Haseeb: We expected a long timeline when we invested. There are major hurdles to overcome, and while yes, it’s been a while, that also shows how much people care and are watching. The real question is — does it live up to expectations after launch?
2. Is 10,000 TPS enough?
MF: TPS and gas are often misleading metrics. There are deeper ways to assess performance — like contract complexity, aggressive ordering, and latency benchmarks that matter more
3. Are the current dApps good enough?
Even Solana and Hyperliquid had very minimal ecosystems on Day 1. All L1s start there — it’s why we’re focused on attracting top founders and users to build a strong, sustainable ecosystem
4. Is running a node accessible?
We aim to lower the barrier so anyone can run a node on a personal computer
5. Why not go heavy on subsidies?
MF: Many dApps/users only exist because of incentives — when those stop, they vanish. That’s why we’re cautious and focused. Our new Momentum program is designed to help great projects grow sustainably
Haseeb: Each chain has its soul — some are degen, some are just party vibes. Monad is like Solana: it attracts real, successful dApps. Yes, there will be dark times, but Monad’s approach builds long-term value and draws founders who truly want to change the world — even when no one shows up at their early events
6. Will the long wait affect ecosystem project runway?
Hard to say that. But Monad has attracted more VC investment pre-mainnet than most L1s do post-launch. That says something
7. What about VC dumps?
Different stages of investment come with different risks and responsibilities. Early investors help the project grow and eventually exit — that’s not the same as “not believing” in it. It’s how venture capital works in both Web2 and Web3. Later-stage investors step in post-TGE/IPO. Even Solana saw heavy VC exits — it’s part of the lifecycle
