No second best. Tracking the price of bitcoin accurately for a Bitcoin ETF sounds simple, but is a science incredibly few in crypto and tradfi has perfected. Work in silence and let data speak.

I am genuinely curious. What is stopping people from utilising in-kind Bitcoin ETFs to redeem BTC? AFAIK there are no banking restictions or risk of debanking when funding share trading accounts. From a tax standpoint, asset movements in/out of bare trusts are straightforward.

This is a IYKYK flex among Bitcoin ETF nerds. $IBTC is probably the best tracking Bitcoin ETF on the planet (NAV to underlying BTC). It tracks so perfect it looks like a straight line.

For a start, IBTC allows retail & institutional clients to move BTC directly in and out of the ETF. No other Australian BTC ETF can do this. Offshore feeders structurally cannot facilitate in-kind, forever. The only way out is to sell units into cash.
