Bitcoin just lost its biggest superpower. In 2024, every $1 flowing into $BTC had a multiplier effect. Roughly $10B inflows expanded market value by about $26B. Price moved fast. Momentum followed. But 2025 is telling a completely different story. Over $308B has entered Bitcoin and yet the total market cap has actually fallen by $98B. That means one thing: selling pressure is overpowering demand. New money isn’t pumping prices anymore. It’s getting absorbed by exits. And that’s why treasury plays, leverage strategies, and big accumulation headlines aren’t moving the market like before. Until BTC becomes “pumpable” again, where inflows translate into expansion, price will keep feeling heavy no matter how much capital shows up. Right now, money is coming in. But it’s not strong enough to move the market.

Bitcoin dominance is looking very weak now. Dump it.

Strategy $MSTR is now down nearly 80% from its November 2024 all-time high. Michael Saylor’s Bitcoin position is now sitting at an estimated $7,350,000,000 unrealized loss. Strategy now holds 713,502 BTC, with an average buying price of $76,052. The most interesting thing is Strategy's $BTC holdings are still worth $46.80 billion, while the company’s own market cap is around $35 billion only.

$BTC weekly RSI is now at the same level as June 2022. Even during the March 2020 and FTX crash, Bitcoin RSI wasn't this low.

Bitcoin has now erased all the gains made since its 2021 peak. If someone bought $BTC at the top back then and simply held it till today. They’d be sitting around breakeven. Four years of holding. Years of volatility and price is back where it was at the 2021 ATH.

Bitcoin’s long term holders have started buying again. For most of the last year, long term holders were net sellers, distributing supply into strength as price pushed higher. That trend has now started to change. This chart shows the 30-day net position change turning positive again. Long term holders are adding $BTC instead of selling it. Historically, this behavior appears after sharp drawdowns, not near market tops. It usually signals that conviction buyers see value at current levels. Price can still stay volatile in the short term, but this shift matters. When long-term holders start accumulating again, downside pressure tends to slow and the market begins building a base.

Love this from @zakfolkman. Even though USD1 hit $5B, there is still a clear focus on building rails instead of chasing headlines. On-ramps, gasless UX, and real payment rails are what actually move stablecoin adoption forward. Market cap is a lagging metric. Usage tells the real story.

It’s not just retail traders feeling the pressure anymore. Even the biggest players are deep in the heat right now. BitMine’s BMNR is sitting on $6.6 billion in unrealized $ETH losses. But the real story isn’t the loss itself. It’s the reaction. Institutions aren’t rushing for the exit. They’re holding through the drawdown, sticking to their positioning. Meanwhile, retail is doing what retail usually does in moments like this, i.e., panic selling into weakness. That difference in behavior is exactly why institutions win over time.
