JUST IN: Bank Of Canada publishes report on @aave concluding DeFi lending is technically & operationally viable. Chainlink oracles underpin DeFi lending at scale, having secured trillions of dollars in deposit & borrow volume for Aave markets for over half a decade of operation.

Aave quickly approaching $1.5 billion deposits on @Mantle_Official.

I’ve seen @aave V3 vs V4 TVL comparisons on the timeline, but this misses two important points: 1) V4’s TVL is being limited for a while to responsibly scale the protocol. This is essential for security and building trust amongst users and partners. 2) V4 also allows us to go after net new business opportunities that would be harder with V3. Which sets us up to pursue them faster. So even in a case where V4 is 20% of V3 in 12-15 months, that $4B+ TVL would be net new business. Nothing positions Aave to win more than that.

It is not obvious, but I think @aave V4 will mark the 1 → 100 moment for DeFi. The design allows Aave to move beyond the ERC-20 model for collateral into use cases that simply do not exist onchain today.

Aave V4 is now live on @ethereum.

Taking the stage Tuesday at @ethcc will be @The3D_ Get onboard the V4 train. @aave will win.
