During a Security Council session, I sounded a siren with a 15-second timer and asked the ambassadors to imagine the reality in Israel: "Imagine you have 3 children and 15 seconds to run to a shelter. Which child do you take first?"

The people who did this want you to know international law and civilian life must be protected.

Today, Israel killed a pregnant woman with her husband and son in Gaza, and a couple with two of their little boys in the occupied West Bank. They’re killing families because they want to wipe out Palestinian life.

Gaza looks apocalyptic. Most of the population displaced, in makeshift tents, because Israel is still blocking shelter aid and reconstruction.

Illegal Israeli settlers damaged the crops of a Palestinian farmer, beat him, and shot his two sons killing one of them. Terrorism with total impunity. This is Israeli occupation.

Israel slaughtered Lebanese refugees in tents on a beach and NYT acts like ghosts are attacking them.
