In Filipe Martins' defense, lawyer @JeffreyChiquini was:
–Prohibited from presenting slides so as not to displease the court, including arguments used by Cristiano Zanin when he was Lula's lawyer.
–Heard from rapporteur Alexandre de Moraes that the material was irrelevant and that "if it were important for the defense, it would have been added to the case file." But it was added.
–When he tried to correct the minister by raising a point of order, the president of the 1st Panel, Flávio Dino, ordered police officers to remove the lawyer from the podium.
Filipe Martins was arrested for a trip he did not take, indicted for meetings and minutes he did not participate in, had his right to defense curtailed, and is about to be convicted by judges who do not want to hear what he has to say.
Perhaps the most scandalous case of lawfare and judicial persecution in our history. A symbol of the current dictatorship of the Supreme Federal Court.
