Da Nang authorities shut down the "DRK" cryptocurrency project: 8 suspects arrested, over 1,880 BTC and 37,000 ETH vanished, causing nearly 2 trillion VND in losses.
On December 15th, the Da Nang City Police, in coordination with the Cyber Security Department, dismantled a nationwide cryptocurrency mining operation, arresting eight individuals led by Huynh Duc Van (33 years old). This group created a fraudulent project called DRK, stealing over 1,880 BTC, 37,000 ETH , and nearly 2.7 million USDT (approximately 2 trillion VND in 2021).
Investigators have frozen and suspended transactions of assets worth over 600 billion VND and are continuing to urge victims to come forward and report the incidents.
