I try to bring a humorous tone to my profile, sometimes I go a little overboard.
The biggest villain of this airdrop, in my view, was fanaticism. The same fanaticism as in football and religion. Talking about backpacks below 1 billion was synonymous with ignorance. Anyone who dared to believe in backpacks below 1 billion was stupid and hadn't understood the project, hadn't understood the advantages of native staking, of having regulation somewhere, of having on/off ramp 0 fee (99% don't even know what that is).
Those who were more experienced and said that this could be frustrating were stoned by the backpack troop in their nicknames: "Look there, he's a poor little fool, believing in $BP less than $1"
What was sold to CTBR?
It was sold that if you have a bottle of water and are dying of thirst, it would be better to throw the water on the ground so that fruit trees will grow than to drink the water itself and quench your thirst. Saying that you're "burning" dollars to farm points that will be worth 5x the value in the future is wonderful for a beginner, it can't possibly go wrong. Especially when you'll receive half of the fees spent...
Unfortunately, even those who used it just for the sake of it got screwed. Imagine those who had the so-called "cost per point" of the dollars burned in fees.
