Project Introduction
Arbitrum is a layer-2 network scalability solution based on Optimistic Rollup for Ethereum. The Arbitrum blockchain uses Rollup to combine multiple transactions into one, thereby reducing transaction costs on the chain and improving scalability. This enables Arbitrum to achieve a throughput of up to 40,000 transactions per second at a much lower gas cost than the Ethereum mainnet.
