This girl's words really made me feel vulnerable. I was about to go to sleep, but suddenly I wanted to say a few more words. It's true, I spend a lot of time alone, mostly reading and writing. Even when people are home, I often sit in front of the computer for over ten hours. I don't feel lonely. Despite my seemingly introverted nature, I have a very active social circle. I have regular weekly gatherings, and I often chat, eat, and laugh with friends. This is one reason why I don't have much time to watch TikTok. My life is quite fulfilling; I almost never feel bored or have nothing to do. Even when I use my phone, it's mostly after I finish writing in the evening, before bed. Aside from checking market trends, I probably only use my phone for about an hour a day. A few months ago, I used it a little more, posting on Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book), but recently I've reduced it, saving time on Xiaohongshu. I don't particularly enjoy the entertainment provided by short videos. As I mentioned before, if it's a good show, I'm willing to watch the whole thing, not just a compressed ten-minute episode. Watching a compressed show makes me lose interest in watching the entire series. I also enjoy playing games, but most are short, fragmented games that I can easily put down, and I play even fewer purely online games now. My life isn't so much lonely as it might seem boring to others, especially sitting in front of the computer for hours typing and reading. But this boredom is enjoyable for me. Maybe it's too old-fashioned, but I still prefer real-world entertainment—interacting with friends offline while writing online—doing both without any conflict.
