Say you bought 1 Bitcoin at $115,000. Now it’s at $88,000,
You can sell it, then rebuy to get a $27k paper tax deduction. Can deduct $3k in 2025 and carry forward the rest.
This is because wash sale rule doesn’t apply to crypto (for now)
