Layer3, a Token distribution protocol, has raised $15 million in Series A Capital ahead of a Token launch and Airdrop in the coming months.
Layer3, a Web3 discovery platform, announces raising $15 million in Series A round, led by ParaFi and Greenfield Capital, with participation from Electric Capital, King River, Tioga Capital and several funds other investments. In addition, this Capital round also has the participation of angel investors from LayerZero and famous individuals from other projects such as COO Coinlist - Scott Keto, CTO Dune - Mats Olsen.
The project started raising Capital for this Capital in April and ended in May. This Capital is structured in the form of shares with the right to buy Token. Meanwhile, the project does not specify pricing details.
With the Capital raised, Layer3 plans to expand the team from 13 people to 20 people by the end of this year. The project also plans to expand operations to the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
Layer3 also revealed two previous investment rounds, with 3.7 million USD from the strategic round in 2022 and 2.5 million USD from the Seed round in 2021. With this Series A round, Layer3's total Capital raised after 3 rounds of Capital calling is 21.2 million USD.
