According to industry executives and other participants, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) may approve a spot Ethereum ETF as early as July 4th, as the negotiations between asset management companies and the regulatory agency have entered the final stage. Asset management companies, including BlackRock, VanEck, and eight others, are seeking SEC approval for these funds. They stated that the process of amending the issuance documents has progressed to the point where only "minor" issues need to be resolved. A lawyer working with one of the issuing companies also said that it is now just a matter of "final touches," and the approval may come within one or two weeks. ETF analyst Eric Balchunas previously estimated that the earliest approval could be July 2nd.
