7/15/2024: I am Back

Hello everyone. Long time no update but I am back in California. I got COVID in the middle of my Taiwan trip and finally tested negative last Thursday. My family and I flew back yesterday. A lot of things happened in the past few weeks. Biden had a disastrous first presidential debate with Trump. Some democrat leaders asked him to step aside but as of now, Biden insisted he would stay in the race. This past Saturday Trump survived an assassination attempt. I don’t like to comment on politics as I understand people have different opinions based on their own life experiences and I better keep my political opinions mostly to myself. But I gotta say the biggest risk for the economy right now is the polarized American politics. I am honestly not too surprised with the assassination attempt. The narrative went haywire a while ago when hoping for someone dead was normalized. We are now seeing the consequences of these vile narratives when some radicalized nutcases actually try to turn the narrative into action. Hopefully this is a wakeup call and people will stop demonizing the other side so much that it results in people actually getting killed. What happened last Saturday was tragic and this madness could go on for another four months until the election. I hope this is the lowest point and we can only rise from here. God bless America.
