According to a former campaign aide of former US President Donald Trump, Trump, as the Republican presidential candidate, has raised over $4 million in funding from various digital tokens. A Federal Election Commission document shows that donors have contributed BTC, ETH, Ripple's XRP tokens, the stablecoin USDC, and various meme coins. The donors are from 12 states, including some highly contested states. Their occupations include homemakers, US military officers, missionaries, painters, and security technology personnel at the State Department. Reportedly, BitGo CEO Mike Belshe donated $50,000 worth of Bitcoin.
