Odaily reports that Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart posted on the X platform to clarify that they currently only expect the Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust (BTC) to start trading tomorrow, but it still needs to obtain final "approval" from the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The regulatory agency needs to confirm that the relevant prospectus documents are effective, and the result is expected to be announced after or before the market closes today.

Odaily reported that Grayscale posted on the X platform that 10% of the underlying BTC in GBTC will be split into a mini-trust, resulting in a 10% decrease in net asset value from the previous day. GBTC shareholders do not need to take any action to receive the split proceeds and will be entitled to a 1:1 ratio of mini-trust shares, while their overall exposure to BTC will remain unchanged.

Grayscale: 10% of the underlying BTC in GBTC will be split into mini-trusts, resulting in a net asset value 10% lower than the previous day.
