Odaily reports that Phoenix Labs and Spark Protocol CEO Sam MacPherson stated that the upgraded USDS from Dai will have a freezing function. Previously, centralized stablecoins such as USDT/USDC had freezing functions. Additionally, the official website of Sky, which was upgraded from MakerDao, also appeared to have a function that prohibits logging in using VPN, suggesting that some regions may be blocked on the front-end.

MakerDAO has been renamed to "Sky", a $7 billion crypto lending platform that has launched new stablecoins and governance tokens.
