CARV, a blockchain data protocol designed for gaming projects and AI , announced on Thursday that it is launching a $50 million accelerator program to foster innovation in decentralized data infrastructure. The initiative, called CARV Labs, will support startups working on projects that could drive widespread adoption of CARV’s data protocol.
Backed by prominent blockchain Venture Capital such as Hashkey Capital and ConsenSys, CARV Labs will provide funding, technical support, and industry connections to selected projects.
“Our goal is to create a decentralized data ecosystem to drive broader innovation,” CARV co-founder Victor Yu said in a statement. “Building a sustainable data infrastructure depends on creating a dynamic data flywheel, which requires modular infrastructure and a large number of high-quality applications after achieving product-market fit.”
The first project incubated by CARV Labs is an idle game called Banana , built as a mini app on the platform The Open Network (TON) , which has attracted 10 million players since launching in late July, Banana lets players click to earn points and unlock colorful and unique fruit collections — similar to a popular but unrelated PC game of the same name.
CARV said the accelerator program has several gaming-focused partners, including Netmarble subsidiary MARBLEX , Intella X, Doublejump.tokyo and Xterio.
CARV says it has generated more than $5 million in revenue from applications using its protocol YTD. In August, CARV launched Alphanet, powered by 40,000 community-governed validating nodes, with a total value of $35 million.
The announcement of the accelerator follows CARV’s $10 million Series A Capital round in April, led by Tribe Capital and IOSG Ventures. The company, which has raised a total of $50 million, integrates with more than 900 games and AI companies, serving 9.5 million registered players across more than 40 blockchain networks.
