Solana's second smartphone, the 'Seeker', has been unveiled.
On the 19th, Solana Mobile, a subsidiary of Solana Labs, announced at the 'Token2049' event held in Singapore that day that it will launch Seeker next year. Solana Mobile previously launched its first smartphone 'Saga' last year. Emmett Hollier, head of Solana Mobile, explained that "Seeker has significantly improved hardware compared to its predecessor, supporting a better battery, more powerful camera, and a lighter design."

The virtual asset-specific features of Solana smartphones will also be improved. The Seeker will be provided with a specially-made virtual asset wallet connected to its own seed vault key storage. Wallet users will be able to trade virtual assets more smoothly than in the previous version.
The Solana DApp Store also supports a wider range of dApps. The success of the previous work has led to a surge in interest in dApp store listings. “We’ve had hundreds of teams contact us about our Seeker build guidelines,” Hollier said. The Solana DApp Store allows developers to launch dApps without having to pay high fees to the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Solana Mobile will also offer Seeker buyers a Genesis non-fungible token (NFT), which is a Soulbound token that is linked to the user’s wallet. “The Genesis NFT will be used as a reward to increase sales, but unlike Saga, it will also be used as a means to provide an experience that only NFT holders can enjoy,” Hollier explained.
Seeker has already received explosive responses, recording pre-orders of 140,000 units. The pre-order price of Seeker is set at $450 (about 590,000 won), half the price of the previous Saga.
