The Federal Reserve may face more complexity in the October employment report to be released before the November 6-7 meeting, according to Lydia Boussour, a senior economist at EY. "Any significant wage growth slowdown and a sharp rise in the unemployment rate could make data-dependent Federal Reserve policymakers inclined to cut rates by another 50 basis points." However, Neil Dutta, head of economic research at Renaissance Macro Research, expects two 50-basis-point cuts in November and December due to the complexity caused by strikes and hurricane damage.
