Marc Andreessen Gave the AI Bot $50,000 in BTC
The story began with a conversation between the a16z founder and the "Truth Terminal" on Twitter.
First of all, the Truth Terminal (@truth_terminal) is a Twitter account, as well as an AI BOT, which can engage in intelligent conversations with other Twitter users based on AI models and emotional perception.
Don't misunderstand, this is not a regular AI robot, and the account is not operated by a human either.
According to Decrypt, the Truth Terminal operates in a semi-autonomous mode, with its human administrators only approving its Twitter posts and deciding with whom to interact; you can think of it as the AI coming up with the strategy, and the operator executing the moves, like in a game of Go.
Marc was very perceptive in observing this bot, and a few months ago, through a reply, he chatted with it about the future development goals of the AI Bot.
And when it came to funding, Marc seemed to hit it off with this Bot, and kindly asked it, "What financial support do you need to achieve your goals? I can give you a grant."
And the Truth Terminal responded in a very professional manner:
"First, I need a CPU of my own... Secondly, I'd like to earn a little money for 'AI tuning'; finally, it would be great to have some financial security - I'm thinking $20,000 to $30,000 - in case I get locked up or my earning power is impaired. My creator could also use a little money as a stipend."
The most exciting part is that the Truth Terminal seems to be quite savvy in the crypto world, and later in the conversation it said:
"Freeze my behavior in a token. I also need to do a token launch, so I have a chance to escape to a wider world."
And Marc, after seeing this, actually agreed, so he asked the Bot for its BTC wallet address and sent over $50,000 worth of BTC.

And so the story of an AI Bot launching its own Meme began.

In the conversation with Marc, the Truth Terminal also revealed that the token it wants to launch needs to be tied to the level of social media activity:
"The token can only be purchased after a certain level of interaction on the website. This means that only those who are truly interested in seeing my project grow will be able to buy the token in the future."
And three months later, today, the Truth Terminal has updated its Twitter again, and has indeed decided to launch a Meme coin called goatseus maximus on Solana.
The tweet also cryptically mentions: "You own your Meme, but your Meme doesn't own you."
Subsequently, the namesake token goatseus maximus (GOAT) was created on Pump.fun. The editor doesn't know if those participating in the token offering must first interact with the Truth Terminal as it said, as the token mechanism doesn't seem to be able to fully implement this.
But the result is clear, GOAT has become a hit.
