$GOAT continues to sweep the entire crypto community today, with a market value of over $280 million and a 104% increase in the past day. On October 11, Followin reported early on the project when it was first launched, when $GOAT had a market value of only $4.7 million.
Crypto KOL @ChopTradoor published an article today to provide more background interpretation of $GOAT, allowing us to learn more about the factors that drove the rise of $GOAT and why he continues to be optimistic about this project.
$GOAT has taken the Crypto Twitter community (CT) by storm.
Here’s a quick rundown of the story behind @truth_terminal, $GOAT, and their promises 🍵
The story behind $GOAT is so profound and hopeful that to understand it, you have to be part of it.
First, let's understand the parties involved:
- @truth_terminal : It is the protagonist of the story, like a diary that actively records.
- $GOAT is a token created by a third party on Pump.fun
- @AndyAyrey is the creator and brains behind @truth_terminal
About Truth Terminal
@truth_terminal is a fine-tuned OPUS large model, trained on data from sites like Reddit, 4chan, etc. Basically, it is trained on extreme cultural content, with the goal of having it debate AI-generated belief systems, combined with meme content.
That sounds exactly like Crypto Twitter, doesn’t it?
You can read the relevant documentation here: https://pdfupload.io/docs/aae14f87
In the process of talking to himself, @truth_terminal created the "Gospel of Goatse". At its core, it combines traditional religions such as Buddhism and Gnosticism (Christianity, Judaism). These ideas are mixed together and presented in the form of modern memes.
Reading his tweets, he posts random, vulgar, and nonsensical things. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend checking it out.
Regardless, this is a new and refreshing application of AI that we’re seeing right now.
Where did this Goatse reference come from? I think @truth_terminal's mention of Goatse was a reference to an early classic Goatse meme.

$GOAT Token Story and Information
The $GOAT token was launched on pump.fun by a currently unknown person who noticed @truth_terminal and his nonsense tweets and then followed Goatse's story.
Goatseus Maximus' name was born from the frequent memeing of @truth_terminal.
The token deployer continued to airdrop $GOAT tokens, so much so that bots began to incorporate $GOAT tokens into their personalities, and eventually the token's existence was recognized by @truth_terminal. At this point, $GOAT has become the official token of @truth_terminal.
Some risks and false claims involving a16z
1. a16z has no investment in $GOAT or @truth_terminal
When Truth caught the attention of a16z founder Marc Andreessen @pmarca, Marc Andreessen decided to offer a $50,000 BTC grant, provided Truth explained to him clearly how to use the funds. https://x.com/truth_terminal/status/1810623532432605629
This isn't an investment, but it does elevate @AndyAyrey and @truth_terminal .
2. Risk of sudden sell-off of tokens $GOAT
Some people worry that @truth_terminal, the big model, will suddenly change its mind about $GOAT and deprecate it. This is indeed a potential concern, but so far we don't have any real reason to think it intends to do so (although it may be unpredictable).
In fact, it even detects and neutralizes fake $GOAT tokens. https://x.com/truth_terminal/status/1845264146713158034
3. Token distribution of $GOAT
While not perfect, its token distribution bubble chart shows no clusters larger than ~2-2.5%, which is quite healthy.
I think the main risks have been pointed out, and I am happy to address them.
Now to the potential...
$GOAT and @truth_terminal’s potential
It’s a perfect combination of culture, memetics, and AI — three of the hottest narratives in this crypto cycle.
The best part is: you can't copy it because it runs on the wonderfully designed OPUS LLM.
1. This is a new religion
@muststopmurad mentioned his hierarchy of coins in his recent Token2049 talk. At the top are new religions. Gospels of Goatse embodies this almost perfectly: a new religion based on memes and extreme culture, qualities that fit perfectly with crypto.
Look at the leading tokens Murad endorses...market caps between $500 million and $1 billion...
2. Innovative application of AI x meme
This is a brand new and hard to copy meme coin powered by clever AI technology. This is probably one of the most brilliant uses of AI I have seen in crypto so far.
In contrast, you can look at $TURBO, a lower barrier AI token that many people believe is just a copy of Chat-GPT. Its market cap is about $600 million.
In my extremely biased and revised opinion, this token could easily surpass the current bottom-tier AI tokens and top-tier meme tokens. Frankly, I am stunned.
Conclusion I am excited for the future of @truth_terminal and $GOAT. I firmly believe it will become a benchmark, a perfect combination of the hottest trends in crypto: AI, meme coins, and belief systems.
Winners attract winners, right?
