GM friends.

Welcome to a new issue of the “Monday Alpha” series.

Here’s what I’ll cover today:

  • 9 crypto events I’m watching this week

  • My favorite airdrop farm on Solana

  • 7 must-read threads

Let’s dive in👇

Today’s email is brought to you by Symphony - The first agnostic execution network

Learn how Symphony is unifying DeFi’s fragmented landscape!

Crypto catalysts to watch this week

  1. US Election Day - The 2024 US Presidential Election Day is Nov. 5. Expect a lot of volatility in the coming days until the winner is announced

  2. China fiscal stimulus package - China is considering approving a huge $1.4 trillion fiscal stimulus package this week

  3. Polygon’s Community Grants Program - Polygon revealed that they will announce a new ecosystem grants program soon

  4. LFJ’s Bonding Curve AMM launch - LFJ (prev. Trader Joe) will release Token Mill, its own version of Pumpdotfun, this month. Token Mill is a Bonding Curve AMM that aims to bring a new paradigm to the memecoin meta

  5. Macro Events - The next FOMC meeting is scheduled for Nov. 7. New rate cuts are expected to be announced

  6. zkSync's $40M incentive program - Voting for zkSync's $40M ecosystem incentive program starts on Nov. 5. Given that zkSync’s TVL is only $92M, this program will likely create many appealing yield opportunities

  7. SWELL token launch - Swell, a popular liquid staking & restaking protocol, is launching its token $SWELL on Nov. 7

  8. Linea’s potential token announcement - Linea has confirmed that its last points program has just ended. The project will likely announce its token launch soon

  9. Mode’s AI agents launch - Mode, a popular Ethereum L2, will begin the rollout of its first on-chain AI agents this week. These agents will simplify the complexities of using DeFi

Together with Symphony

THE FIRST AGNOSTIC EXECUTION NETWORK

Imagine being able to trade any asset across any chain instantly without having to worry about bridging, wallets, or gas fees.

Symphony, the first agnostic execution network, is making this possible.

Here’s what you need to know about it:

  • Symphony aims to unify DeFi’s fragmented landscape by enabling near-instant cross-chain transactions

  • In comparison with LayerZero and Axelar, Symphony’s infrastructure enables a 45x faster execution time (under 3 seconds)

  • The project raised over $5.4M from VCs in January and secured finalist and People’s Choice at Monad’s Madness NYC competition

Symphony’s token $CAD, which was previously a governance & staking token for CAD perpetual DEX, will soon migrate to $SMY at a 1:4 token ratio.

The token snapshot is in four days (Nov. 8 at 23:59 UTC), ahead of a new round of funding with tier-1 VCs.

This Week’s Airdrop Opportunity🪂

Restake SOL or USDC on Solayer

Solayer is currently the fastest-growing restaking protocol on Solana.

Just a few days ago, the project also released sUSD, a novel RWA-backed synthetic stablecoin that can be obtained by restaking USDC on the platform.

By restaking SOL, SOL liquid staking tokens, or USDC on Solayer, you’ll earn:

  • A base yield (8% APY on SOL or 4.5% APY on USDC)

  • A future airdrop from Solayer (its points program is already live)

  • Other potential airdrops from the AVSs built on top of the protocol (such as Sonic, a Solana L2 that is secured by the restaked SOL on Solayer)

Solayer has some big backers behind including Binance Labs, which makes me optimistic about its airdrop.

Here’s a link to Solayer.
