The 2024 SmartCon conference hosted by Chainlink recently concluded in Hong Kong, and UU Wallet, a rising crypto payment force in Southeast Asia, was one of the top sponsors of the event.

UU Wallet was established in 2022, dedicated to solving the problems of limited use cases and free exchange through innovative crypto payment solutions, leveraging various stablecoins, for enterprise and individual users. UU has focused on the Southeast Asian market in the early stage and already has 500,000 users, aiming to become the leading crypto payment service provider in Asia and globally.
UU Wallet currently has offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Manila, and has obtained the exclusive Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) and Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licenses in the Philippines, as well as local OTC business compliance qualifications in multiple Southeast Asian countries and regions such as Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

Based on compliance, UU Wallet has launched three core products to meet the usage needs of high-frequency users in different scenarios:
- Lightning Transaction Service: Serving users of cross-border remittances and large-scale currency exchanges. For example, Filipino workers in the US can quickly convert US dollars to Philippine pesos through this service, saving on high fees and cumbersome confirmation processes.
- UU Prepaid Card: Serving stablecoin customers who frequently make overseas and local fiat currency purchases. UU collaborates with VISA and Mastercard to cover 160 countries globally. Users can top up stablecoins on virtual or physical cards and use fiat currencies for seamless spending without frequent exchanges, and can also check consumption records in real-time.
- Wallet-as-a-Service (WaaS): UU Wallet's WaaS solution is designed to empower enterprises, providing secure management of crypto digital currencies, allowing them to efficiently and securely integrate digital payments into their collection scenarios. Through the WaaS service, enterprises can enable their customers to complete shopping payments directly with cryptocurrencies without additional development, attracting more international users. For example, many foreign trade enterprises in the Philippine market are seamlessly realizing digital currency collection, settlement, and exchange through UU Wallet's WaaS system, enhancing the convenience of cross-border transactions and global business expansion capabilities.

In the next stage, UU Wallet will develop personal self-custody wallet functions to further enrich its service scope, and the new overall product platform will be officially launched in November. At that time, users will be able to intuitively experience the crypto payment functions that are different from other wallets, providing a one-stop solution for the convenient exchange and global consumption of cryptocurrencies.
In the new wave, with the rapid improvement of user education, UU Wallet will play an important role in the Southeast Asian and even global crypto market, and also hopes that more compliant and innovative partners will join. Safety, compliance, and innovation - opening a new chapter in payments!
