Infinity Exchange Korea, the operator of virtual asset exchange INEX, announced on the 18th that it had conducted education on compliance with the Virtual Asset User Protection Act for all executives and employees.
This training was conducted twice on the 12th and 14th. It is part of efforts to raise awareness of compliance with laws and regulations among employees and create a transparent trading environment after Inex completed the processing of its Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) report on the 15th of last month.
The educational content is centered on the core issues of the Virtual Asset User Protection Act, such as the background and purpose of the enactment of the law, obligations for investor protection, prohibition of market manipulation and unfair trading, and supervision and disposition. The lecture was conducted by Seong-Hyeon Seol, a compliance officer with experience in the financial industry. Seol has served as the head of the compliance department at SC First Bank and the TFT for the operation of the compliance officer system at the Korea Federation of Banks.
Lee Jae-kang, CEO of Inex, said, “We expect that this training will help employees increase their understanding of the User Protection Act and contribute to building an exchange that is in line with the regulatory environment,” adding, “We plan to continue to strengthen employees’ awareness of compliance through regular training in the future.”
