Microsoft: There is no need to invest in Bitcoin for the time being, and will continue to monitor cryptocurrency-related trends and developments

Odaily reported that Microsoft's board of directors disclosed in a regulatory filing the reasons for rejecting investment in Bitcoin, believing that the proposal was unnecessary as the company was already considering various investment options. Microsoft stated: "As the proposal itself mentions, the volatility of Bitcoin is a factor to be considered when evaluating it as an investment for corporate financial applications, as enterprises require stable and predictable investments to ensure liquidity and working capital. Microsoft already has robust and appropriate processes in place to manage and diversify corporate finances to serve the long-term interests of shareholders, and therefore this proposal to publicly evaluate the request is unnecessary." Microsoft's official supplement said that past evaluations have included Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as one of the options considered, and Microsoft will continue to monitor trends and developments in cryptocurrencies to guide future decision-making.
