LINE, Taiwan 's most popular chat software, and its subsidiary LINE NEXT Inc. ("LINE NEXT"), a subsidiary dedicated to developing the Web3 ecosystem, today jointly announced with the Kaia Foundation that several Mini Dapps will be launched in the first quarter of 2025. And Dapp Portal service, users can start it directly in the LINE communication software.
LINE NEXT and Kaia Foundation selected 30 Mini Dapp projects from the Kaia Wave project to assist Web3 developers in bringing Kaia technology Dapps into the LINE communication software. Kaia Wave is a plan launched by LINE NEXT in cooperation with the Kaia Foundation to support global Web3 developers in the Kaia ecosystem. Since September this year (2024), 800 teams have applied, and a total of 30 groups have been selected in the first round.

The selected team includes:
- Bombie: Developed by Pluto Studio, its mini-app project attracted 43 million users in just six months and achieved the number one sales ranking.
- Shin-chan's Match Daily: A mini-game based on the popular manga "Crayon Shin-chan".
- Captain Tsubasa -RIVALS- on LINE : A game based on the popular football manga "Captain Tsubasa".
- Heroic Arena : An ACG (animation, comic, game) style placement and click mini Dapp, where players can use heroes to fight in an immersive multiplayer online battle universe.
- Superz : A health and fitness portal Dapp specially created for non-crypto users, which seamlessly combines fitness habits with substantial rewards.

Each team will receive a software development kit (SDK) to develop Kaia Dapp. Kaia Wave will also provide assistance with fee payment, joint marketing activities, etc., and provide diversified investment opportunities from Kaia Wave. With these resources, the developer's Mini Dapp can be directly connected to the LINE communication software and will be launched on the Dapp Portal of LINE NEXT starting in the first quarter of 2025.
Users can launch Dapp directly in the LINE communication software through the Dapp Portal, and can also receive rewards for using the service and conduct virtual asset transactions. Mini Dapp, Dapp Portal and LINE NEXT are committed to providing barrier-free Web3 experience and services that are popular, convenient and easy to use.
LINE NEXT simultaneously released a software development kit this time. This developer platform allows companies and projects to easily develop and publish Mini Dapps launched on the Kaia chain. In addition to developers selected by the Kaia Wave program, LINE NEXT will also support other developers interested in launching Web3 services to achieve the true popularity of Web3 services.
