On December 16, the Bitcoin Asia 2025 press conference was successfully held in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. This press conference was jointly organized by Web3Labs and The Bitcoin Conference, the world's largest BTC conference company, to announce that the Bitcoin Asia 2025 Hong Kong Bitcoin Conference will be grandly held in Hong Kong next August.
The press conference was honored to invite Dr. Wu Jiezhuang, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the Web3 Virtual Asset Development Subcommittee; Mr. David Bailey, CEO of BTC Inc; Mr. John Riggins, partner of BTC Inc.; Mr. Leung Hon-king, Global President of Financial Services and Technology, Sustainable Development of InvestHK; Mr. Kong Jianping, Director of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited; and Mr. Huang Junlang, CEO of Web3Labs. At the press conference, Mr. David Bailey pointed out that the BTC price breaking through $100,000 per Bit is an important milestone, marking the beginning of the mainstream era of BTC. Although BTC has experienced turbulence, many pioneering companies have emerged in the China region, and Hong Kong, as the intersection of East and West, is particularly important. He hopes that China and the US will cooperate to establish a new financial and monetary system in the future. Dr. Wu Jiezhuang also stated that this event, after being held in the US and the Middle East, is of great significance to be held in the international financial center of Hong Kong. He also hopes that the US and Hong Kong, China crypto asset summit dialogue will be launched at the BTC conference in Las Vegas, USA in May next year. Dr. Wu Jiezhuang also pointed out that the Legislative Council meeting on December 18 will conduct the first reading of the "Stablecoin Ordinance", hoping to promote the development of the Web3 industry, which is a groundbreaking event globally. The Legislative Council will also adjust the over-the-counter trading service of virtual assets and propose a licensing system for virtual asset custody services. In addition, it will also promote the landing of DAO in Hong Kong to attract enterprises to settle in.
