Where’s the Money Going?
Over the last 3 months, Base chain saw the highest net flow of bridged funds coming into the ecosystem.
Base leads net flows on nearly every time frame within the last year.
Out of the $10B that flowed from ETH into other chains over the last 3 months, Base received $2.6B, second only to Arbitrum’s $3.4B.
Base also crossed the $4B TVL milestone in early December.
(BTW, if you’re wondering why Bitcoin’s TVL is up 100% in 7 days, someone staked ~$1B on Babylon)
While the Base szn was originally dominated by memes, Base’s activity is now centered around:
DeFi
Aerodrome, Base’s liquidity hub, makes up nearly half of Base’s TVL and did $8B in volume last week. Other DeFi applications like Morpho and Aave (both are lending markets) grew over 50% in TVL over the last month.
AI Agents
The meteoric rise of Virtuals (a platform to launch AI agents) to nearly a $3B market cap makes Base one of the premiere spots for owning AI agents. Thanks to Virtuals, several of the largest crypto AI agents call Base home.

You can find lots of great yields on Base - Aerodrome and Uniswap are the premiere options.
If you’re holding VIRTUAL or ETH, you can get over 200% APR by providing liquidity.
How it Works
Uniswap makes it easy to provide liquidity. Simply select the pool to see its analytics and hit Add Liquidity in the top right corner.
Settings are already optimized, so hit continue, where you’ll enter the liquidity range (you can provide “Full range” if you don’t want to have to manage the position, or you can select a custom range for higher APY). Then enter the amount of tokens you’d like to supply, then deposit!
You’ll earn fees when swaps are made within your liquidity provision range.
Risks
If price moves out of your liquidity range, you won’t earn fees. Keep an eye on prices and adjust if necessary.
