After communicating with several project parties, I found that many bosses have not even realized what the emergence of "AI Agent" means. Let me share my understanding in a simple post:
1) The wind of AI Agent did start from the AI MEME, which caused an illusion. Many Builders think that AI Agents are all just excuses for coin issuance by shady groups, and will be hyped up around the "asset issuance" story, just like the Mingwen, and end up in a mess.
The concern is right, there will be chaos in the wind, but from automated tweeting to audio-visual interaction, to framework standard definition, and to the most complex automated trading execution, the AI Agent narrative is evolving, which is the meaning of the participation of the mainstream Builder army - good money drives out bad money, driving the entire track to maturity.
For retail investors, during this process, cultivating one's own "technical sense of smell" to judge good and bad and avoid most of the pits. Just like when the intent track was hot, there appeared many "centralized Bots with preset Q&A-style interaction", how could they be connected to intelligent AI? AI storytelling, murder mystery... how can these obviously disruptive projects be seen as mainstream AI Agent projects?
2) AI Agent is just the product application presented on the front end, behind which there must be chain DA solution capabilities, chain interoperability performance capabilities, chain asset circulation and smart contract scheduling capabilities, and even considerations of "chain abstraction" experience upgrades, ZK verifiable interactions and other more sophisticated technical architecture capabilities. A decentralized AI Agent as a Service will become a necessity.
So the traditional chain infra embracing the AI Agent narrative is a way to stack new market expectations for a full-scale infra upgrade, otherwise the market wants "delivery issues", user growth, application ecosystem growth, primary VC exit burden, secondary coin price growth, etc. Now there is a brand new narrative, can it turn the "delivery problem" into a brand new "growth expectation", isn't it worth a try?
Essentially, this is the mindset transformation I have always emphasized, from "fat protocol" to "thin application". Don't expect to impress retail investors with just a whitepaper and a Roadmap, plus a Tokenomics that linearly releases to VCs and the team. "Good products will speak for themselves", let the application take the lead, activate the community, and the chain infra will eventually catch fire.
3) AI Agent has not isolated MEME and technology, the industry's constant clamor about "VC coin dogs don't care" and "MEME is everything" is a direct manifestation of the casino-ization of the industry. AI Agent will bring the MEME community and technical Builder two major camps back to a common narrative, no opposition, only joint efforts.
Whether a hardcore technical project ecosystem can give birth to a super MEME that can create a team community and consolidate community culture is very important, this is not PVP, but a kind of PVE of community identity.
In fact, MEME as a carrier of community cohesion will also become part of the project's PMF, delivering MEME to the community, empowering MEME with technology, and then expanding the chain's ecosystem through applications and the market, and ultimately releasing the commercial prospects through Tokenomics. The success of a16z has already verified the feasibility, and more chains are worth learning from.
