According to the official announcement on December 23, Binance stated that it has recently received feedback regarding the circulating supply data displayed on the Binance App and Binance website, and it hopes to share Binance's plans with users to respond to user feedback and provide them with the best support.
Currently, the data source for Binance's circulating supply comes from the CoinMarketCap (CMC) website. The method used by CMC to calculate the circulating supply does not include the addresses allocated to internal project-related parties.
As CMC has introduced two new metrics, Unlocked Market Cap (UMC) and Unlocked Circulating Supply (UCS), Binance will integrate these new data into the token information page.
