The ai16z project has increased more than tenfold in the past two months, since Marc Andreessen actually mentioned his AI version.
The AI agent project ai16z, unrelated to the venture capital fund of the same name, has surged to a market capitalization of $1.5 billion on Saturday (12/28/2024), before dropping to around $1.3 billion on Sunday.
This project promotes itself as a venture capital fund managed by AI agents, supported by the "memefund" Daos.fun platform, and has become the first Solana extension Token to reach the $1 billion milestone. Solana extension Tokens bring new features to its Token Standard, also known as Token 2022.
The value of ai16z has increased more than 10 times in the past two months, since it was mentioned by Marc Andreessen, due to the growing interest from both individual and institutional investors in blockchain projects related to AI agents. In particular, ai16z also manages the Eliza development platform, allowing developers to deploy their own AI agents.
Despite the value fluctuations due to internal instability and the constantly changing AI trends, ai16z has still achieved this important milestone. Eliza Labs, the team behind the project, has also recently announced a collaboration with Stanford University to research how blockchain-based AI bots can be integrated into the digital asset economy.
Notably, ai16z has not yet been listed on major exchanges, unlike memecoins with over $1 billion in value such as Floki, Dogwifhat and Dogecoin. According to analysis from Lookonchain, some major investors have recently made large transactions to purchase this Token.
