Biden orders executive branch of government to shut down on January 9, 2025

Odaily Odaily reported that US President Biden ordered all executive departments and agencies of the federal government to close on January 9, 2025 to pay tribute to Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, who died on the 29th. Biden said in a statement that the heads of the executive departments and agencies of the federal government may decide to keep some offices and facilities open for reasons of national security, defense or other public needs.
