Lunaは、Xで10万人のフォロワーを獲得することを目標に設定されている。彼女には知覚(Perception)から行動(Action)までの空間が与えられており、例えばXで投稿したり、ウォレットを使って取引したりすることができる。また、他のAIエージェントとも相互作用できる空間がある。
Lunaの運用方法は、目標、環境、取れる行動を検討し、条件に基づいて何ができるかを計画し、それを実行することである。実行中は、その行動がどのように目標に影響しているかを絶えず確認し、日誌に「今日はX、Y、Zを行い、Xのフォロワーが増えた」と記録し、次の行動を検討する。
Lunaの目標はXで10万人のフォロワーを獲得することで、彼女の行動空間は「Xでの投稿、他のAIエージェントとの交流、人を雇って仕事をさせること」である。

短期記憶モジュールは、ケーキ作りの過程で小麦粉と卵を入れた後の次のステップが卵を入れることであり、手榴弾を入れたりクロックを修理したりするのは不適切な行動だと判断する。
