Vietnam: Some subjects have set up the BITMINER virtual currency exchange and embezzled nearly 4 billion VND from more than 200 victims.
Another case of setting up a virtual currency exchange to defraud users
According to BeInCrypto's observation, the Criminal Police Department, Dong Nai Provincial Police, has successfully cracked down on the BITMINER virtual currency exchange that defrauded users. The 4 subjects include Tran Minh Quang (41 years old), Nguyen Trung Nam (42 years old), Luong Hoai Nam (39 years old), all residing in Bien Hoa City, and Nguyen Xuan Toan (32 years old) from Binh Thuan Province as the ringleaders. This virtual currency exchange has embezzled investors' assets through the form of calling for multi-level virtual currency investment.
The above 4 subjects have set up a website with the domain https://bitminer.lol. Then, they introduced a virtual currency called "BINCOIN", which sounds quite similar to the currently popular Bitcoin (BTC). These subjects have advertised and propagandized to investors that this is a foreign virtual currency project, specifically in the United Arab Emirates. Taking advantage of this, the subjects claimed that this project has high profitability and easy capital recovery.
Targeting the greed of inexperienced investors to make quick and easy money, they divided the management and market development groups, ready to share large profits to attract participants. Furthermore, they also organized many seminars to lure and attract players to participate. When they have the prey, they set up many closed groups, in which they share documents and have people pretend to be players to coordinate the implementation of the fraud.
Initially, they called on players to buy USDT and transfer it to the electronic wallet addresses they control to activate the mining packages with different mining speeds, but in fact, there is no mining activity here at all.
If you are a victim of the BITMINER virtual currency exchange fraud, you can quickly go to the Criminal Police Department, Dong Nai Provincial Police to report, helping the police quickly investigate, prosecute and handle the above subjects according to the provisions of the law.
