US SEC is still moving forward with appeal of ruling in Ripple case

Odaily reported that U.S. Senior District Judge Phyllis J. Hamilton granted the request of Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and the SEC to seal certain court documents. As the case progresses, the parties can now keep sensitive information confidential. The sealed documents include key exhibits related to summary judgment and expert testimony, which are crucial to the case. The court made the decision based on the "compelling reasons" rule of the Ninth Circuit. Ripple sought to seal 8 exhibits related to summary judgment and 56 exhibits opposing the SEC's motions. Meanwhile, the SEC requested to seal some of its exhibits, including expert testimony.
