At the same time, endless meme coins related to "CZ's Dog" have emerged on the chain, triggering widespread betting and blind guessing activities, with market capitalization hitting new highs repeatedly. CZ did not disappoint, posting a preview on the evening of the 13th Beijing time, promising to release the dog's photos and name within 3 hours.
As the unveiling time drew near, the guessing frenzy became increasingly intense - the market value of meme coins related to "CZ's Dog" continued to soar. At this time, the coin named "CZ's Dog (BROWNIE)" took the lead, with its market value once exceeding $45 million, attracting a large number of speculators.
Smart money seized the opportunity to profit. On-chain monitoring platform Onchain Lens showed that a trader spent 0.4 BNB (about $106) to buy 25.43 million $BROWNIE, and then sold part of the tokens for 88 BNB (about $23,000), still holding 24.45 million $BROWNIE worth $2.13 million, ultimately achieving a staggering 8,460x return.
Finally, CZ announced the dog's name - Broccoli - in a tweet, bursting the suspense-filled guessing bubble, and most of the previously guessed names were reset to zero.
CZ explained that the dog's name was chosen as a word starting with "B", and Broccoli was selected because its pronunciation is similar to "Blockchain", symbolizing the deep connection with cryptocurrencies.
Although this has sparked a lot of discussion in the community, CZ also stated that he has not issued any meme coins, and whether to issue them will be decided by the community. However, he said he might interact with some popular Meme coins on the BNB Chain, and the BNB Foundation may reward popular Memes on the BNB Chain, including LP support or other rewards, with the details still under discussion.
When announcing the dog's name, CZ did not provide the contract address (CA) for Broccoli, which again sparked controversy. Many community members or KOLs left messages under CZ's tweet, demanding that he publicly disclose the contract address. CZ retorted, "Isn't meme community-driven?"

On-chain data analyst Yu Jing monitored that the creator of the Broccoli token (countless tokens with the same name, contract address: 0x6d5...714) on the BNB Chain quickly created the token on the four.meme platform after CZ's tweet was published, and immediately invested 1 BNB (about $707) to buy 115.4 million Broccoli tokens.
With the influx of funds triggered by CZ's tweet, Broccoli's market value skyrocketed to $400 million in just 24 minutes. Ultimately, this issuer quickly sold 115 million Broccoli to FOMO retail investors through 12 transactions, earning 9,819 BNB (about $6.72 million) in profits, and converted these BNB into ETH, USDT and USDC.
But after the issuer sold the tokens in their hands, the coin price plummeted 90% in half an hour, becoming a typical snapshot of countless Broccoli tokens in the early morning.

Currently, Binance's Web3 wallet has a dedicated column for "CZ's Dog", which contains multiple tokens of the same name, with the highest market value reaching $1.99 billion. Its 24H increase looks very tempting.
